Ven Prof. Dr. Phra Dharma Kosajarn, Rector, Mahachulalongkornrajavidayalaya University said that the Mahathera Association concluded that the Mahachulalongkornrajavidayalaya University has been authorized to arrange the International Buddhist Conference on the United Nations Day of Vesak Celebration on the 12nd-14th of May 2011 both at Mahachulalongkornrajavidayalaya University, Tambol Lam Sai, Amphur Wangnoi, Ayutthaya Province and at the United Nations Conference Center. |

The conferences topics is Buddhist Virtues in Socio-Economic Development. Before the conference, the committees collect articles from Mahayana, Theravada and Vajrayana to create an International Tipitaka Edition. |

First, all articles are translated to English and reviewed by the commitees. These articles are then handed back to Buddhist leaders to translate to their languages.
Phra Khampirayan, vice rector, Mahachulalongkornrajavidayalaya University said that the International Tipitaka Edition is 80% completed. |
