Building a Harmonious Society: Buddhist Introspection
Ven. ManakadaKemanandaThero received his PhD in Buddhist Studies from Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University. In addition, he earned a MA for Buddhist Studies from the same university in 2008. And received the first class honor Bachelors Degree for Pali from the University of Peradeniya in 2002. Further, Master of Arts Degree for Sanskrit from the Buddhist and Pali University in Sri Lanka. Also he earned Degree of RajakeeyaPandita (Royal Pundit) of the Oriental Studies Society of Sri Lanka.
At the present time he is serving as a lecturer in Sri Lankan International Buddhist Academy in Pallekele, Kandy Sri Lanka. He has served as a temporary lecturer in Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya in 2010/11. He also has served as a lecturer for Pali and Buddhist studies for 2003 to 2005 in the University of Perdeniya. In addition, he has served as a teacher in Pali and Sanskrit from 1996 to 2005 in a higher school for the monks. He is the author of Mahindavamsa (in Pali) and has written few articles in Pali and in English.
