From Forbidding Cutting Trees to Actively Engaging in Planting: A Case Study of Environmental Practice by Chinese Buddhism
Ven. Yuan Liu received his PhD in Buddhist studies from the Postgraduate Institute of Pali and Buddhist Studies (PIPBS), University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka. He is now teaching in the Buddhist Academy of China (BAC) in Beijing. He is also a lecturer of the International Buddhist College (IBC) in Thailand and a visiting scholar in the Buddhist College of Singapore (BCS). His interest of research is mainly in the areas of Abhidharma and YogacAra studies in the Northern tradition, Early Buddhism and Buddhist Sanskrit.
