Mr. Somboon Uamareewong Thailand 'Awakening Society': The Tipii`aka Interpretation by Systems Theory Approach Graduated with a Bachelor degree of Political Science (1st Class Honors) in International Relations from Chulalongkorn University in 1986, a Bachelor degree of Economics in International Economics from Ramkhamhaeng University in 1989 and Master degree of Business Administration from Thammasat University in 1992, Mr. Somboon worked in news and mass media industry for several years before founding his own business that is still performing to the present days. After Thailand economic crisis in 1997 he also volunteered to recover Thailand through joining the political arena as policy strategist and then as political advisor to several political figures; for instance Deputy Minister of Finance, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Minister of Energy, Minister of Science and Technology, Minister of Defense in Committee of Economic, Social and Foreign Affairs., etc. After another period of public service as a member of board of director in Neighboring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) and some other state enterprises, he planned to acquire a Ph.D. in Buddhist Studies from MCU in order to strengthen his wisdom and practice insight meditation for his own enlightenment as well as for Thailand's next necessity.
