Michelle Platas studied a degree in Clinical Psychology at the Universidad Autónoma de Mexico. She has also taken courses on Behavioral Cognitive therapy, Brief therapy, Logotheraphy and body mind therapy.
It was in the University where she developed her interest in Buddhism, and took several courses of Abhidhamma and Theravada Buddhism.
University Professor of Psychology in the Universidad Gestáltica de América and private practice. She has translated and revised texts from English to Spanish for "Buddhismo Theravada México A. R."
Practitioner of mindfulness meditation (Vipassana) and Loving-kindness (Metta), has attended several retreats in the Theravadha Buddhist Monastery "Dhamma Vihara" in Mexico.
